Active Sound Design In-Vehicle Mobile Phone App

The neosonic Active Sound Design system has also been ported to mobile platforms like Android. This enables drivers to use their own mobile devices like smart phones and tablets to fully create and tune Active Sound Designs.

The neosonic App meets the demand for the generation of interior driving sounds for example in small and medium segment vehicles that do not have a dedicated DSP amplifier or have no processing resources left on their Head Units.

App Use Cases

Starting from templates drivers create and tune sound signatures themselves using a powerful, yet easy to use graphical editor. Sound samples can be imported from the phone or created using the smart phone’s microphone.

Drivers can test-drive sound templates and own sounds on the phone both outside the car using the app’s embedded driving videos. For real driving on the road drivers use their own car with real-time vehicle data being transmitted from the car to the phone over wifi with no perceivable latency. The sound is played on the phone’s speaker, fed directly into the car’s hifi system, or transferred to the car’s compatible DSP amplifier / Head Units
